Our centers promote the development of the whole child through play.
Early childhood research shows that young children learn primarily through play. We believe that children learn through active hands-on involvement with materials, equipment and activities. During active play, a child's mind, body and emotions develop, and true learning takes place.

Infant/Toddler/2-Year Old Curriculum
Our youngest children require opportunities to build a strong foundation for future learning.
They must...
>be able to look, listen, and respond to their environment;
>enthusiastically explore their world;
>actively participate in daily routines and new experiences;
>achieve developmental milestones on their own;
>attain and develop social-emotional skills in a nurturing environment.
Beyond Cribs & Rattles is a developmentally appropriate curriculum for our younger children. It's main focus is creating intentional, age-appropriate experiences for our infants, toddlers and two-year olds. The Florida Learning and Developmental Standards for birth to three years are supported by this curriculum.
Beyond Centers & CircleTime
Three / Four / VPK Curriculum
Our Pre-K curriculum is based upon the State of Florida, Department of Education approved, Beyond Centers and Circle Time (BCCT). This curriculum was developed by The Creative Center for Childhood Research and Training, Inc. BCCT presents a literacy and play-based curriculum model focused on the planning, organization and arrangement of play experiences, scaffolding play experiences, and assessing play experiences.
Throughout the day, children progress in age-appropriate groups through various learning centers which provide an enormous variety of educational materials and activities. They are not confined to one room... they move and they love it!

Before & After School
At Berri Patch, transportation is provided to and from local schools (check with your center).
We know what your school age child needs... they are warmly greeted with a variety of healthy snacks, and offered quiet homework time, playtime and various organized activities including soccer and dance classes.
Nutrition
Berri Patch Preschool provides a well-planned, delicious and nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack daily. We participate in the State of Florida, Department of Health, Child Care Food program. Savings from this participation are passed along to our families in the form of lower tuition rates.
